Hello everybody,
Yesterday, our church members headed to downtown Houston to hand out the sleeping bags like every year, as the cold winter approaches. Altogether we had over 120 sleeping bags and 100 hot dogs. The first 2 places we stopped and passed out half of the sleeping bags and hotdogs, and the last stop had so many homeless people, that in just 10 minutes we ran out of everything. There were still people left asking for more hotdogs , but sadly we had to tell them there were none left. There was also police present who were kind enough to let us serve those in need without making us leave. Some of us brought sleeping bags and food for those who could not walk to us, we cannot forget t those faces filled with gratitude, some just needed our hugs and someone to listen to their stories. Looking at their teary eyes, faces of joy and gratitude, these are the rewarding moments. We are only small representatives of St. Justin's bighearted parishioners.
Peace and Blessings
