Marriage in the Roman Catholic Church is more that a mere contract between husband and wife, or between two families. Marriage Is A Sacrament. What God has joined can never be dissolved. The Church's primary concern is to help you prepare yourselves and your relationship with your future together. The wedding ceremony, while important, must always take second place in your relationship. This period of your engagement will be a time of serious and thoughtful preparation for marriage which is the sharing of your complete selves with one another in God's convenant for a lifetime.
